Body Of The Statement
The body of the statement should include all my core beliefs, my thoughts and opinions about what’s right individual behavior according to me, and reflect my views and philosophy. You may have to follow some guidelines, depending on the purpose why you are writing this, but the core of this essay has to be a reflection of you and your feelings. Here are a couple of important points to remember while writing the body of the essay.
Personal ethics are beliefs that you based your opinions and actions on, hence, it is highly recommended to mention only the ethics that we strongly believe in. In short, include only the practices we preach.
Anything that isn’t from our core belief system will make it self-evident and establish itself as untrue right away. For instance, if we aren’t vegetarians ourselves but we write about vegetarianism being needed today, it will become obvious that we don’t really believe what we write, and the concept will become invalid.
Every statement has its own requirements. You will have to compile only the ethics that match the nature or the statement. For example if you are writing this as a prerequisite for a Scholarship, you will have to compile your views about academics and related activities. Your views about Global Warming probably won’t help the statement much, except maybe if you are an environmental science student!
