Our principal announced that we were going to see the Taj Mahal. We were all excited about our trip. I was very happy because I had never been there before. When we arrived at the Taj Mahal, we saw many people around the monument. 

Some tourists were taking pictures of the monument while others were looking at it. There were also some children playing near the monument. 

I visited the Taj Mahal because my teacher told me to write an essay about visiting a historical place. She said that she wanted to know what I thought about the Taj Mahal. I thought it was very beautiful. 

I liked how there were lots of flowers around it. I also liked the big white building next to it. It looked like a palace. I liked the statues too. There were many different kinds of people walking around. Some were dressed up as kings or queens. Others were wearing clothes made out of cloth. 

I saw some men playing cricket. I didn’t see any women playing sports though. I did not see any women at all. I think that the Taj Mahal is a great example of architecture. It is very old. It looks like a palace. It is very big. It is surrounded by gardens. It is very impressive. It is very beautiful.

We also visited the Taj Mahal’s garden. It was full of flowers and plants. There were many different kinds of plants and flowers. Some of these plants were rare and expensive. I saw some peacocks too. They were dancing around us, showing off their beauty.

The Taj Mahal was built by the emperor Shah Jahan, who loved his wife Mumtaj Mahal very much. He built this monument to show his love for her. Couples from India and foreign countries come here to strengthen their relationship.
